2011 Super Boat (Key West) Race Program

KEY WEST, FL (January 18, 2010) – The 2011 season for Super Boat International is well underway. Planning and preparation for each event has started. The race schedule for the next three years has been published and teams are getting ready for an exciting season of Offshore Powerboat Racing.

In November 2010, the 30th Annual Key West World Championships were a great success. Over 50 boats were registered and participated in the famed event for a week of exciting racing and activities. The commemorative program that was available at the World Championships, was very well received by fans and racers. Many teams in the offseason have inquired about a similar program in 2011.

Super Boat is currently preparing to make another “collectors” program available in 2011 at the Key West World Championships. The program will be compiled from all 2011 scheduled race sites. Every team attending a Super Boat event in 2011 will be pictured in that specific race site section of the year-end program. Each race will have approximately 5-7 pages in the Key West program, including photos, quotes and stories covering that particular event. By the end of the 2011 season in Key West, SBI will have a Year-In-Review highlighting every team for each race. The program will also include feature articles, advertising and special sections.

Along with highlighting all the teams participating in the 2011 National Series Races, Super Boat will be commemorating John Carbonell’s 500th produced event at the 31st Annual Key West World Championships in November. Recognizing many years of racing and producing events around the world, this year’s 31st World Championships will be a milestone.

Super Boat is the premier sanctioning body of offshore powerboat racing. The Super Boat National Points season runs April through November and the final race of the year is the Key West World Championships. National races take place in Miami, FL; Sarasota, FL; Michigan City, IN; Cocoa Beach, FL; New York, NY; and the National Series Championship event is in Clearwater Beach, FL. This schedule enables Super Boat International to claim the best schedule for Offshore Super Boat racing around the world.
