#77 LUCAS OIL Scandinavian Offshore Challenge takes Bronze Medal in the Saturday Sprint Race of the Italian Grand Prix of the Sea

The Italian Grand Prix of the Sea, the fourth Grand Prix of the UIM World Championships, took place on September 4-5, with rounds 7 and 8 raced on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The race pits were located in Bacoli. The raceboat field was down in numbers at this event, missing primarily the British and Chinese teams that chose to take part in the 50th Anniversary Cowes-Torquay-Cowes race in England.
The highlight for the 77 LUCAS OIL Scandinavian Offshore Challenge was in receiving the Bronze Medal for the third place finish in the Saturday Sprint race. The podium celebration was spectacularly stationed right in front of the 2000 year old Temple of Venus.
The team begins traveling this week to the final Grand Prix of the Sea in Siracusa, Sicily for rounds 9 & 10, to be run September 17-19. Watch the action live from the pits ustream channel at www.nigelhook.com/live
