The History
The plan to own a performance boat was imbedded in Jeff Stevenson´s head ever since his father´s fanatical passion for antique boats exposed him to the world on water, as a youngster. Donzi was his preffered powerboat from birth and would be his choice for pokerrunning in the early 2000’s. Attending the occasional professional offshore races however…. was the icing on the cake, sparking a race bug in Stevenson.
Making a boat go fast and go fast well, requires a great amount of time and practice, and Stevenson is one talented American who nailed the task from the start. JBS Racing should have called the 2004 season “the year of the checkered flag”. Dominating the F2 course in his 38′ Donzi, Stevenson was simply invincible, capturing the top podium spot at each offshore showdown, including a national and World Championship in his rookie year and was inducted into the coveted APBA hall of champions.
Stevenson stepped up to Super V in 2005, and even took a shot at Super Cat in Hidden Agenda/JBS Racing earned him a third place world championship, alongside racing partner and throttleman Joe Skrocki. In 2008 JBS Racing surfaced in the fiercest and fastest Turbine class turning tripledigits over 200 mph with twin T53 Lycoming powerplants totalling 3700 hp, taking the 2008 world championship Top Gun title! Answering roll call at both OSS and SBI venues in 2009, JBS Racing is the team to watch.
Though originally from Lyme, New Hampshire, at present Stevenson splits his time between Winneconne, Wisconsin and Key Largo, Florida. Wife Jaimee, daughters Sarah and Jacynda, and a two year old son Jerney Blaze keep Stevenson surrounded by his family, when not dominating the competion in JBS Racing.

But first and foremost, Jaimee is a mum of three and does a great job raising them. The two smaller kids travel with the Stevenson JBS racing tour sometimes. Jaimees hobbies are boating, snorkeling, swimming, actually anything in and on the water. Jaimee will even take up kiting this summer! Jaimee feels very blessed with her life and loves to be outdoors. The most fun Jaimee has, is when she is together with her husband Jeff. He truly is her rock. |
