PETERS & MAY TO SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL GROWTH OF P1 SUPERSTOCK CHAMPIONSHIP
Powerboat P1 Management Ltd (P1) has announced a new partnership with leading boat transportation company, Peters & May, who will become the Official Logistics Partner of the P1 SuperStock Championship, both in the UK and the USA.
The agreement was confirmed today following discussions at the recent Miami International Boat Show, where the new P1-28SS powerboat was exhibited as both a race and pleasure craft.
Peters & May will enjoy exclusive worldwide shipping rights, and its support will be instrumental in enabling the efficient movement of P1’s 28ft one-design racing powerboats around the world. With this support, P1 will ultimately expand the SuperStock Championship beyond the UK and USA into a global series as part of a far-reaching overhaul of its sporting and commercial activities.

Powerboat P1 has chosen to partner with Peters & May because of its experience in providing worldwide yacht transportation services to over 8,000 vessels each year via sea, road, rail and air. The company is the first choice for many of the world’s leading names in the marine industry, and it has recently signed a three-year partnership agreement with the Union International Motonautique (UIM), the world governing body for powerboat sporting activities, which sees it appointed as a UIM-approved marine transport provider. Peters & May is the first such company to be accredited by the UIM for the standard of logistics services it provides.

As Official Sponsor, Peters & May will benefit from a visual prominence at all P1 SuperStock events, including the naming rights to one boat taking part in each of the UK and USA championships.
Both race series are scheduled to start in June, with the UK venues including Jersey, Lymington and Liverpool, and Biloxi, Detroit, Cleveland and Morehead City in the USA.
