Race to benefit Autism resources and research.

Organizers of the Hoosier Offshore Classic Powerboat Race have announced that they will be raising funds and awareness for “Autism Speaks”, an  organization dedicated to research and treatment of Autism Disorders. The
 Offshore Super Series (OSS) APBA sanctioned race is scheduled for the weekend of  September 16th – 18th with festivities to begin Friday  morning. “Race Village” will open to the public at 10:00 A.M. in the Fairfax
 Recreation Area of Lake Monroe in Bloomington, Indiana. “Race Village”  will be packed with the boats, race teams, vendors and a resource area dedicated to the Autism Speaks organization.
 
OSS CARES is the charitable division of OSS coordinated by Christine Vanneck. Christine will be on hand to give children and families a unique, one-of-a- kind experience as they meet the race teams and participate in
 the weekend activities.
 
 Race committee members include: Rick Lehman of Fort Wayne, Indiana;
 Ellen Greenleaf, Michael Stancombe, Rick Davis, Les Sebring of Indianapolis, Indiana and John Brunner of Dallas, Texas.
